Pirmā nodaļa veltīta radošās iztēles nozīmes cilvēka psihes darbībā izpētei, bērnu iztēles attīstības problēmām. Ir sniegts vecākā pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu raksturojums, galveno uzmanību pievēršot iztēles ietekmei uz visu bērna personības veidošanos un attīstību. Otrā nodaļa veltīta iztēles attīstīšanas jautājumiem, par galveno līdzekli aplūkojot pasaku. Nodaļas ietveros sniegtas vispusīgas metodiskas rekomendācijas pedagoģiskā audzināšanas procesa organizācijā iztēles attīstīšanai vecākā pirmsskolas vecuma bērniem. Trešajā nodaļā apkopoti praktiskie pētījumi, kuri veikti Rīgas pilsētas X pirmsskolas izglītības iestādē, rezultāti un secinājumi.

Erika Lanka Key words: senior pre-school age, imagination, creativity, fairy tale The aim of the Paper: to explore the pre-school children‟s development features and opportunities of creative imagination in the process of work with fairy tales. Size of work: The Paper includes 75 pages, 3 pictures, 5 tables and 10 appendices. Bibliography and other resources used 39. Structure of the Paper: The Paper consists of three chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the exploration of the importance of the creative imagination in the human‟s psyche action, problems of the children‟s imaginative development. Characteristics of the senior pre-school children are given, focusing on the impact of the imagination influence upon the child‟s personality formation and development. The second chapter is devoted to the issues of imagination development, considering a fairy tale as a main instrument. In the framework of this chapter, all-round methodical recommendations in the organization of pedagogic educational process of the senior pre-school children‟s imagination development are given. The third chapter summarizes the practical studies, carried out in Riga Pre-school Education Institution (X), the results and conclusions.
