dc.description.abstractDiplomdarba mērķis ir izpētīt iesildīšanās aktivitāšu ietekmi uz skolēnu iesaistīšanos angļu valodas stundās. Rezultāti atklāj, ka skolēnu/respondentu iesaistīšanās uzlabojās. Aptauju un interviju dati pierādīja, ka ir svarīgi izmantot iesildīšanās aktivitāte angļu valodas nodarbībās,laigan tās aktivitātes ir tikai neliela daļa no skolēnu iesaistīšanas mācību procesā.en_US
dc.description.abstractAny teacher at least once in his /her career faces such problem as uninvolvement of his/her students. This problem is connected with plenty of factors, including unwilling to study due to age specific characteristics, boredom during lessons, difficult material etc. One of the possible solutions to involve students in English lessons is attracting their attention by doing something interesting, unusual, bright and simple, something which could bring them in the lesson processes, for example warm-up activities. Thus, the aim of the present Diploma Paper is to research the influence of warm-up activities on students' involvement in English lessons. To achieve the aim of the Diploma Paper the case study was carried out. After the insight in the theory, the author of the Paper conducted her research using a case study approach and observations, questionnaries and interviews as data gathering techniques. The data were collected by 2 questionnaires to 10 students from Grade 11 in order to find out how the respondents evaluated the tasks they got used to do and what could raise their involvement in relation to English lessons and 3 interviews to the teachers with an aim to explore if warm-up activities had an impact on The findings revealed that respondents had an improvement in their involvement. The data of the questionnaires and interviews proved the importance of using warm-up activities in English lessons, although this is only a small part of the whole process of student involvement.en_US
