Zodiaka zīmju dizaina vēsture un nozīme tēla veidošanā

Abstract

Jau senatnē astroloģija bijusi kā nozīmīga sastāvdaļa cilvēku ikdienas dzīvē. Ar zodiaka zīmēm tika saistīti mitoloģiskie tēli, cilvēki rūpīgi sekoja līdzi Mēness fāzēm un planētu stāvoklim debesīs, tā paredzot labvēlīgākos laikus savas ikdienas dzīves plānošanā. Arī mūsdienās grāmatnīcu plaukti ar katru gadu arvien vairāk pildās ar Mēness kalendāriem, no kā var secināt, ka šī mācība cilvēkiem šķiet aktuāla. Lai vai kā, tomēr vēl aizvien liela daļa sabiedrības pret astroloģiju ir noskaņota skeptiski. Tādēļ šī darba autora mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai ar efektīva astroloģiskā kalendāra dizainu iespējams veicināt cilvēku interesi par šo mācību. Autors pēta astroloģisko kalendāru vēsturisko attīstību, zodiaka zīmju klātesamību arhitektūrā un mākslā un tāpat zodiaka zīmju mitoloģisko skaidrojumu. Pētījuma daļā autors salīdzina pieejamo astroloģisko kalendāru stilus, kā arī veido aptaujas anketu, lai noskaidrotu stilu, kādā cilvēki vislabprātāk redzētu astroloģiskos kalendārus. Var secināt, ka cilvēki vislabprātāk astroloģisko kalendāru dizainā redzētu fantāzijas žanru, katras zodiaka zīmes aprakstu un tām labvēlīgās dienas. Interesanti, ka Mēness fāzes, kas pašlaik pieejamajos astroloģiskajos kalendāros ir viena no svarīgākajām informācijām, respondentu vidū nešķita tik būtiska.

Since the ancient times astrology has been important part of everyday people life. Mythological characters were associated with zodiac signs. People were paying a lot of attention to moon phases and planet alignment in the sky and by doing so they could predict most fruitful times for planning their lives. In modern world, year after year, shelves of bookstores are filled with more and more moon calendars, which suggests that this discipline is still relevant today. Even with it’s increasing popularity, big part of today’s society is still sceptical about astrology. Therefore the goal of the author is to find out whether it’s possible to increase the interest of public in astrology by creating effective astrological calendar design. Author is researching development of astrological calendars throughout history, zodiac sign appearance in architecture and art, and their mythological explanation. In the research part of this paper author is comparing styles of the available astrological calendars, as well doing survey to find out what kind of style of astrological calendars are people most interested in. Author concludes that people would like to see fantasy themed astrological calendar, description of each zodiac sign and it’s favorable days. Interestingly, moon phases, which is considered as important information in currently available astrological calendars, weren’t that important for respondents.
