Šajā darbā tiek aplūkoti divi skatījumi attiecībā uz reprezentācijas konceptu geštaltteorijas ietvaros. No vienas puses tiek aplūkota Austrijas skolas geštalttteorijai, kurā tiek pieņemts reprezentāciju līmenis semantiskās nozīmes konstituēšanā; no otras - Berlīnes skolas geštaltteorija, kas principā atsakās no reprezentācijas līmeņa. Darbā mērķis ir parādīt, ka cilvēka semantiskās apstrādes skaidrojums ir adekvātāks nepieņemot reprezentāciju līmeni sakarā ar to, ka lielākoties nozīme tiek konstituēta, apvienojot dažādus pieredzes un situācijas aspektus vienotā kognitīvā struktūrā. Tādējādi Berlīnes skolas pienesums tiek traktēts kā īpaši nozīmīgs mūsdienu teoriju ietvaros, kuras pievēršas nozīmes epistemoloģiskajiem pamatiem, neraugoties uz to, ka Berlīnes skolas tradīcijā netiek izvērsta nozīmes vai valodas analīze. The paper explores mainly two conceptions of representation within Gestalt Theory. On one hand, it looks at Meinongian conceptions which presume a level of representation in human semantic processing. On the other, Berlin School assuming no level of representation at all. It is argued that an explanation of human semantic processing is more adequate without assuming a level of representation because usually meaning is generated meshing wide range of experiential and situational resources into a coherent cognitive structure. Thus, it will be argued that Berlin School presents a significant enrichment to current theories of epistemological foundations of meaning despite the fact that there is no explicit analysis of language within the tradition of Berlin School itself.
