Rokmūzikas kultūras attīstība Latvijā no 1956. gada - 80. gadu sākumam

Abstract

Rokmūzikā 50. – 80. gados neapšaubāmi atspoguļojas Padomju Savienībā un Latvijas PSR notiekošie sociāli – politiskie procesi. Darba mērķis ir attēlot rokmūzikas kultūras veidošanos PSRS, apskatot grūtības un ierobežojumus ar kādiem saskārās tā laika mūziķis, un kā piemēru minot Latvijas PSR situāciju. Par darba uzdevumiem kalpoja rokmūzikas žanra veidošanās, PSRS kultūras politikas, ideoloģijas izpratnes veidošana, kā arī rokmūzikas ienākšanas, izpildītāju darbības izpēte. 2. Pasaules kara rezultātā būtiski mainījās Eiropas un pasaules politiskā karte un pastāvošā valstu sistēma un sabiedriskā doma. PSRS teritoriju ierobežoja tā dēvētais „dzelzs priekškars”, kas, līdz pat PSRS sabrukšanas laikam, atdalīja Rietumus no Austrumiem. Šāda nošķirtība un izolācija apdraudēja kultūras sfēru, kurai norobežošanās un cenzūra neļāva attīstīties. 40. gados ASV radās jauns mūzikas paveids – rokenrols, kas bija atvasināts no blūza, džeza un kantrī mūzikas elementiem. Rokenrols, iegūstot milzu popularitāti ASV, vēlāk pārņēma visu pasauli. Šis jaunais mūzikas stils ienāca arī PSRS, kur uzreiz tika pamanīts jauno mūziķu aprindās. PSRS ideoloģijai šis mūzikas un kultūras veids nešķita atbilstošs tās cilvēku pārvaldes un kontroles iestādēm, tādēļ tika mēģināts rokmūziku stingri diskreditēt kā kultūras veidu. Pirmo reizi PSRS zemes rokenrols sasniedza 1956. gadā Vispasaules jauniešu dienās Maskavā. Šeit padomju jaunieši iepazina rokenrolu, džinsus, košļenes un citus tā laika rietumnieku jauniešu ikdienas priekus. Vēlāk, mūzikai attīstoties, tā kļuva par daļu no latviešu populārās mūzikas, latviešu kultūras sastāvdaļu, bet tā laika mūziķi par – elkiem vēl šodien.

Rock music made starting from the 50s till the 80s clearly represents the social and political issues of the Soviet Union and the Latvian SSR. The aim of the work is to describe the process of rock music development in the USSR, to look at the difficulties and restrictions that were faced by the musicians. The situation in the Latvian SSR will be used as an example. The work tasks include research on the development of rock genre, USSR cultural policy, ideological development, the introduction of rock music in the USSR, and activities of rock music performers. After the World War II, the political map of Europe and the world, the existing countries and the public spirit changed significantly. The USSR territory was constricted by the so called „iron curtain” which separated the East and the West till the fall of the USSR. Such isolation and censorship restricted the cultural development .In the 40s in the USA, a new musical genre arose. Rock’n’roll derived from blues, jazz and country music. It gained vast popularity in the USA and later took over the entire world. This new genre got into the USSR as well, where it was noticed by young musicians. USSR administrative and oppressive institutions found this genre inappropriate thus it was decided to strictly discredit rock‘n’roll. Rock’n’roll first reached USSR territories in 1956, on International Youth Day in Moscow. Soviet youths discovered rock'n'roll, jeans, chewing gums and other Western entertainment means. Later such music developed into part of Latvian popular music, Latvian culture. Musicians of that time are considered idols even nowadays.
