Rīgas bīskapa Alberta tēls vēsturiski zinātniskā un publicistikā interpretācijā 20.-21. gs.

Abstract

Darba nosaukums ir „Rīgas bīskapa Alberta tēls vēsturiski zinātniskā un publicistiskā interpretācijā 20.-21. gs.” Bīskapa Alberta darbībai Latvijas vēstures kontekstā ir pievērsta liela uzmanība, taču maz uzmanības pievērsts Alberta tēla veidošanās procesam latviešu akadēmiskajā literatūrā un presē. Darba mērķis ir pēc iespējas detalizētāk raksturot radīto Alberta tēlu latviešu akadēmiskajā literatūrā un presē laika posmā no 1900. līdz 2007. gadam. Darba uzdevumi ir iepazīties ar akadēmisko literatūru, akadēmiski orientētu literatūru un presi, laika posmā no 1900. līdz 2007. gadam, kurā publicēti raksti par bīskapa Alberta darbību un personību, un noskaidrot tajā radīto šīs vēsturiskās personas tēla īpatnības. Gan akadēmiskā literatūra, gan prese tiek izvēlēta vadoties pēc tā, vai attiecīgajā darbā dots Alberta tēla raksturojums. Viscaur 20. gs. Alberta tēls ir ieguvis dažādu raksturojumu, taču 20. gs. laikā vienojošais par bīskapa Alberta tēlu ir tas, ka viņš, būdams bīskaps, tomēr vairāk bijis laicīgās, nevis garīgās varas pārstāvis.

The title of the paper is “Scientific Historical and Publicistic Interpretation of Rigas Bishop Albert Image 20th-21th century”. The actions of Bishop Albert in context of history of Latvia have been studied a lot but not enough studies have been done about the development of his image in Latvian academic literature and media. The aim of this paper is to describe the image of Bishop Albert in Latvian academic literature and media in the time period starting from 1900 till 2007. The tasks of this paper is to study the academic literature, academically oriented literature and media in time period starting from 1900 till 2007, in which articles about Bishop Albert actions and personality have been published, and clarify the characteristics of this historical figure that have been created in those articles. Both academic literature and media has been chosen only if the image of Bishop Albert has been characterized in particular piece. The image of Bishop Albert throughout 20th century has been characterized differently but the conjunctive idea about his image in 20th century is that he represented temporal power more than he represented sacral power.
