Sievietes identitāte kā sociāla konstrukcija S. de Bovuāras darbos

Abstract

Šis bakalaura darbs ir pētījums par sievietes identitāti Simonas de Bovuāras darbā „Otrais dzimums”. Darba gaitā tiek aplūkots, kā Bovuāras idejas par sievieti kā absolūtu Otro sasaucas ar Georga Vilhelma Frīdriha Hēgeļa ideju par kunga-kalpa dialektiku, kur kalps attiecībā pret kungu kļūst par ‘otro’. Tālāk tiek skatītas Bovuāras idejas divu pretēju teoriju – esenciālisma un sociālā konstruktīvisma kontekstā, lai noskaidrotu vai Bovuāra atbalsta pirmo, vai otro teoriju. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot vai sievietes dabā pastāv kas tāds, kas liek viņai zaudēt dzimumu cīņā par dominanci. Par darba teorētisko pamatu galvenokārt izmantota Simonas de Bovuāras un Georga Vilhelma Frīdriha Hēgeļa filozofija.

This thesis is a research on the concept of identity in Simone de Beauvoir’s „Second Sex”. It is first examined how Beauvoir’s ideas of woman as the absolute Other correlates with George Wilhelm Fridrih Hegels’s idea about the master-slave dialectic, where the slave relates to the master as the other. Beauvoir’s ideas on identity are further inspected in the light of two different theories – essentialism and social constructionism, to clarify whether Beauvoir could be considered to agree with the first one or the second. The aim of this thesis is to ascertain whether there is anything at all in the nature of woman to make her the Other. Theoretical basis of this thesis is mainly the philosophy of Beauvoir and Hegel.
