| dc.description.abstract | Pārtikas ķīmijas un tehnoloģijas straujā attīstība pēdējās desmitgadēs, ko veicina ievērojamais analizēšanas un ražošanas iespēju progress, ļauj ieraudzīt atbilstošas terminoloģijas trūkumu latviešu valodā.
Diplomdarbā tiek pētīta pārtikas ķīmijas terminoloģijas tulkošana un analizēti šo terminu tulkošanas no angļu valodas latviešu valodā principi un aspekti. Šī darba praktiskais rezultāts ir glosārijs, ko savā darbā var izmantot gan tulkotāji, gan tulki.

| dc.description.abstract | The rapid development of food chemistry and technology over the recent decades, which is due to a remarkable increase in the analytical and manufacturing possibilities, makes noticeable the lack of appropriate terminology in Latvian language.
The present paper deals with interpreting of terminology of food chemistry and aims to analyse the principles and aspects of interpreting these terms from English into Latvian. The practical result of this paper is a glossary on food chemistry terms which can be used both by translators and interpreters.
