Izdzīvošanas stratēģijas pilsētvidē: Dzīves patversmē

Abstract

Šī bakalaura darba tēma ir ”Izdzīvošanas stratēģijas pilsētvidē: Dzīve patversmē”. Katru gadu pieaugot patversmes iemītnieku skaitam Rīgā arvien aktuālāka kļūst bezpajumtniecības problemātika. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot kas un kā ietekmē patversmē dzīvojošu bezpajumtnieku. Mērķa sasniegšanai patversme tiek aplūkota aģentūras kontekstā, īpaši pievēršoties bezpajumtnieku rīcībspējai. Darbs ir sadalīts sešās nodaļās. Pirmajā un otrajā darba nodaļā tiek aplūkotas attiecīgi aģentūras un nabadzības teorijas, radot darba teorētisko bāzi un ievietojot pētījumu jau esošajā antropoloģiskā debatē. Trešajā nodaļā tiek aprakstīts lauka pētījums, tā norise un izmantotā metodoloģija. Ceturtā darba nodaļa sniedz vispārīgu pētīto struktūru aprakstu. Piektajā nodaļā tiek veikta iegūto datu prezentēšana un analīze pielietojot aģentūras perspektīvu. Sestā nodaļa ir veltīta secinājumiem un priekšlikumiem, gan saistībā ar patversmes darbību, gan tālāku problemātikas pētniecību.

The topic of this bachelor’s thesis is „Survival strategies in urban environment: Life in a shelter”. With number of shelter residents increasing every year, the problem of homelessness becomes more relevant. The aim of this research is to realize and distinguish what affects a homeless person living in a shelter. To achieve this aim, shelter is examined through the frame of agency with particular focus on conscious capability of the individual. The thesis consists of six chapters. The first two chapters discusses theories of agency and poverty, creating the theoretical basis and placing this work within the wider anthropologic debate. The third chapter focuses on field research, its methodology and conduction. The fourth chapter offers a general description of particular shelter structures. In the fifth chapter, acquired data are analyzed through the perspective of agency. The final chapter is devoted to conclusions and recomendations for further research and management of shelter.
