Ekstremālo nokrišņu raksturs un izmaiņu tendences Kurzemē

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā „Ekstremālo nokrišņu raksturs un izmaiņu tendences Kurzemē” veikta ekstremālo nokrišņu indeksu izmaiņu analīze Kurzemē. Darbā tika pētītas un analizētas četru nokrišņu indeksu – dienu skaita ar intensīviem nokrišņiem (R10mm), dienu skaita ar ļoti intensīviem nokrišņiem (R20mm), vienas dienas maksimālā nokrišņu daudzuma (RX1) un piecu dienu maksimālā nokrišņu daudzuma (RX5) izmaiņas laika periodā no 1945.gada līdz 2009.gadam. Pētījumā tika izmantotas 7 Kurzemes meteostaciju ikdienas nokrišņu novērojumu datu rindas. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 3 nodaļām. Literatūras apskatā, izmantojot zinātniskās literatūras avotus, aprakstīti un izvērtēti iepriekš veiktie citu autoru pētījumi par ekstremālo nokrišņu raksturu Eiropā, iepazīstināts ar ekstremālo nokrišņu pētījumiem Latvijā, kā arī sniegts vispārīgs ieskats ekstremālos nokrišņus raksturojošajos indeksos. Izmantoto materiālu un metožu nodaļā aprakstīts, kādi dati izmantoti pētījuma izstrādāšanai un kādas metodes lietotas iegūto datu apstrādei. Rezultātu un analīzes nodaļā, izmantojot iegūtos rezultātus, veikta ekstremālo nokrišņu izmaiņu analīze Kurzemē, rezultāti salīdzināti ar ekstremālo nokrišņu izmaiņām Eiropā. Pētījuma rezultāti parādīja, ka dienu skaitā ar intensīviem nokrišņiem un dienu skaitā ar ļoti intensīviem nokrišņiem konstatētās izmaiņas ir ar pieauguma tendenci un statistiski būtiskas lielākajai daļai meteoroloģisko staciju datu rindām, savukārt piecu dienu maksimālajā nokrišņu daudzumā statistiski nozīmīgs palielinājums novērots tikai Kolkā un Mērsragā. Bakalaura darba apjoms ir 78 lappuses, tajā iekļautas 3 nodaļas un 5 apakšnodaļas. Darbu papildina 52 attēli un 6 tabulas, kā arī 8 pielikumi.

The bachelor paper „The character and changes of the extreme precipitation in Kurzeme region” analyses the changes of the extreme precipitation indices in Kurzeme region. The author has studied the changes in amount of four extreme precipitation indices – heavy precipitation days (R10mm), very heavy precipitation days (R20mm), highest 1-day precipitation amount (RX1) and highest 5-day precipitation amount (RX5). The covered time-period is from 1945 to 2009. Daily precipitation data for 7 weather stations covering Kurzeme region are used. The bachelor paper consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, which is based on the scientific literature, the author describes and evaluates the similar studies about the extreme precipitation’s character in Europe, gives an insight in studies of extreme precipitation in Latvia and also gives a general description of indices referring to extreme precipitation. The second chapter describes the data used in the bachelor paper and the methods of processing the data. In the third chapter the author analyses the changes of the extreme precipitation using the results of the processed data. The obtained results were compared to the changes of the extreme precipitation in Europe. The results show the statistically significant trends for both indices - the number of days with heavy precipitation and the number of days with very heavy precipitation in most of the meteorological observation stations has increased. The statistically significant increasing trend in the highest 5-day precipitation amount has been observed in Kolka and Mērsrags. The bachelor paper consists of 78 pages including 3 chapters and 5 subchapters. The paper is supplemented by 52 figures and 6 tables, and 8 appendices.
