Freids un freidisms D. M. Tomasa romānos

Abstract

Šis darbs pievēršas Freida tēlam D. M. Tomasa romānos un freidisma diskursam kā literāra darba un tēlu radīšanas līdzeklim.

Izstrādātā darba mērķis ir analizēt D. M. Tomasa trīs romānus “The White Hotel” (“Baltā viesnīca)”, “Lying Together” (“Kopā guldīti”) un “Eating Pavlova” (“Baudot Pavlovu”) Freida un freidisma kontekstā. Tekstu analīzei izmantotas dekonstrukcijas, psihoanalīzes, biogrāfiskā, lingvistiskā, strukturālisma un salīdzinošā pētījuma metodes.

Pētījums atklājis, ka D. M. Tomass izmanto freidisma idejas kā struktūras, uz kurām būvēt savus literāros darbus.

Pētījums var tikt paplašināts, iekļaujot arī citus D. M. Tomasa ar Freidu saistītus darbus, tādējādi paplašinot pētījuma robežas un interešu lauku, attiecīgi arī paplašinot pašu pētījumu līdz lielākam apjomam un augstākam līmenim – doktora darbam.

The present paper focuses on the image of Freud in D. M. Thomas’s novels and Freudian discourse as a means of constructing literary work and its characters.

The goal of the present paper is to analyse D. M. Thomas’s three novels “The White Hotel”, “Lying Together”, and “Eating Pavlova” in the context of Freud and Freudianism. Deconstruction, psychoanalysis, biographical, linguistic, structural and comparative study methods are applied to decode the meaning of the texts.

The research has revealed that Freudian ideas serve for D. M. Thomas as structures on which to build his literary works.

The research could be broadened to include other D. M. Thomas’s Freud-related works, expanding the field of interest and boundaries of the research, consequently expanding the study to greater volume and higher level – doctoral thesis.
