One of the approaches to the demand forecasting is the analysis of time series. Some improvements in forecasting accuracy are possible to be gained by applying data mining technologies in the analysis of time series. Similar studies offer various time series models, but they do not offer a technological solution to the automation of data mining process. Manual usage of data mining does not allow forecasting improvement in business areas, where there are rapid changes in demand. The present study aims to evaluate the prediction improvement opportunities by automating the analysis of time series with Microsoft SQL Server data mining capabilities. Technological solution has been developed which analyses historical demand data for different time periods, at required moments performs data processing and training of time series models, as well as performs their assessment. The solution uses time series models ART and ARIMA.
