Datu kvalitātes problēmas un risinājumi sistēmā NeMeSIS

Abstract

Datu migrācijas laikā Latvijas Universitātes Neklātienes matemātikas skolas olimpiāžu un konkursu informācijas sistēmā NeMeSIS tika pamanītas vairākas datu kvalitātes problēmas. Bakalaura darba pamatuzdevums bija šīs problēmas izpētīt, atrast tām risinājumus, izstrādāt rīcības plānu un tās novērst. No dažādiem avotiem tika apkopota informācija par datu kvalitātes dimensijām, biežāk sastopamajām problēmām, neprecīzo vērtību cēloņiem, meklēšanas veidiem un risinājumiem. Balstoties uz šo informāciju tika noteiktas NeMeSIS būtiskākās datu kvalitātes dimensijas, atrastas daudzas datu kvalitātes problēmas, izveidots ar migrāciju apvienots problēmu novēršanas plāns un izstrādāti gan manuāli, gan programmatūrā realizēti risinājumi, kā arī apskatītas problēmas, kuras atrisinās NeMeSIS jaunās datubāzes struktūra.

During the migration of data in the information system of Olympiads and competitions of the University of Latvia Mathematical correspondence school (the NeMeSIS), several data quality problems were noticed. The underlying task behind this bachelor’s work was to examine these problems, find solutions to them, create a plan for implementation of these solutions and also implement them. Information about dimensions of data quality, common problems, causes of incorrect data, search possibilities and solutions, was gathered from several sources. Based on this information the most important dimensions of data quality problems in the NeMeSIS system were established, several data quality problems were found, a plan to solve these during the migration of data was created, and both manual and software solutions were developed. Also problems that will be solved by the new structure of the NeMeSIS database were examined.
