Famenas laikmeta sākuma bruņuzivis Bothriolepis Skotijā un Austrumeiropā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā izstrādāts vēlā devona bruņuzivs Bothriolepis jeremejevi Rohon morfoloģiskais apraksts. Tas balstīts uz liela apjoma iepriekš neaprakstītu paleontoloģisko materiālu, kā arī 2009. gada lauka darbos iegūto fosiliju pētījumiem. Materiāls iegūts no Famenas stāva apakšējās daļas nogulumiem, kas atsedzas Ižmas upes labajā krastā pretī Sosnogorskas pilsētai, Komi Republika. Sastādīts Sosnogorskas svītas stratotipa ģeoloģiskais griezums. Bruņuzivju morfoloģiskā apraksta izstrādē un salīdzināšanā izmantota morfometriskās analīzes datorprogramma „Biomorphix”. Pētījuma rezultāti apstiprina iepriekš paustos viedokļus par iespējamu lielu līdzību starp B. jeremejevi un B. leptocheira Traquair. Ģinti Bothriolepis plaši izmanto stratigrāfijas jautājumu risināšanā.

Morphological description of the Late Devonian placoderm Bothriolepis jeremejevi Rohon has been worked out. A large previously undescribed material and a new fossil material collected during the fieldwork of 2009 has been studied. Material comes from the deposits of the lowermost Famennian cropping out at the right bank of Izhma River opposite Sosnogorsk, Komi Republic. Geological section of the stratotype of the Sosnogorsk Formation has been prepared. Morphometric software „Biomorphix” was used for morphological description and comparison of B. jeremejevi. The results of the study confirm previously proposed similarities between B. jeremejevi and B. leptocheira Traquair. Wide distribution of the placoderm genus Bothriolepis defines its significance for the stratigraphy.
