Abstract
Bakalaura darbā apkopota informācija par karbonātu minerālu uzkrāšanos seklās jūrās, dolomītu veidošanos un pēcsedimentācijas apstākļiem. Raksturoti Pļaviņu svītas dolomīti Dārzciema, Lauciņu un Apes – 2 atradnēs. Darba veikšanai tika dokumentēti 3 atsegumi, uzzīmēti 3 ģeoloģiskie griezumi, izgatavoti un pētīti 17 plānslīpējumi. Secināts, ka Pļaviņu svītas nogulumi veidojušies galvenokārt marīnos apstākļos ar periodiskiem transgresijas un regresijas etapiem.

Bachelor’s thesis summarizes information about carbonate deposits in shallow seas as well as deals with reconstruction of sedimentary environment in the Devonian Pļaviņu times. There is describe of Darzciems, Lauciņu and Apes-2 deposits of Pļaviņu series. Three outcrops were documented, three geological sections drawn, and 17 thin-sections made and studied.
