Gaujas ūdensmalas ainavas pilsētvidē: Valmieras un Strenču piemērs

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā pētītas upju ielejas ainavas jeb ūdensmalas, uzsverot to funkcionalitāti un izmantošanas iespējas pilsētvidē. Kā ūdensmalu ainavu funkcionalitātes izpētes etalonteritorijas bakalaura darbā aplūkotas divas Gaujas ūdensmalas apdzīvotās vietas: Strenči un Valmiera. Izvērtēts ūdensmalu ainavu nozīmīgums pilsētvidē kopumā, kā arī detālāk Strenču un Valmieras pilsētās. Pētījumā atspoguļota līdzšinējā Gaujas vidusteces ūdensmalu izmantošana vēsturisko notikumu kontekstā, kā arī ūdensmalu izmantošana mūsdienās. Izstrādāta Gaujas ūdensmalas ainavu telpu un elementu inventarizācija, kura attaino mūsdienu ūdensmalas nozīmīgumu, uzsverot gan ekoloģiski jutīgās vietas, gan dabas un cilvēka antropogēnās ietekmes mijiedarbības teritorijas, ūdensmalas telpas pieejamību.

The main subject of the bachelor thesis: Waterfront landscapes of the River Gauja: example of Valmiera and Strenči townscapes is the functionality and possible usage of watersides and river banks in cities. As the etalon area of this research were discussed two places in mid river Gauja cities: Valmiera and Strenči. In research are assessed the importance of urban waterfront landscapes in general, as well as on Strenči and Valmiera. The study reflects the current Gauja waterfront use in the context of historical events, as well as waterfront use nowadays. There is developed Gauja waterfront landscape area and its elements inventory that illustrate the importance of waterfronts, emphasizing the environmentally sensitive areas, the influence of nature and human interaction, the availability of waterfront space.
