| dc.description.abstract | Bakalaura darbā ir izpētīti veidi, kā labāk attīstīt runas prasmes personām, kuras apgūst angļu valodu neformālās izglītības programmas angļu valodas kursos, kas domāti bezdarbniekiem. Teorētiskajā daļā ir apsvērta valodas apguvēju vajadzību noteikšanas nozīme un paņēmieni, kā arī apskatīti dažādi veidi, kā uzlabot runas prasmju mācīšanu. Lai noteiktu valodas prasmes, kuras ir visvairāk nepieciešamas, tika veikts pētījums, kura ietvaros tika novērotas angļu valodas nodarbības, kā arī izanalizēti dati, kas iegūti no studējošo anketām. Šī pētījuma rezultāti parādīja, ka nepieciešams pievērst lielāku uzmanību valodas apguvēju runas prasmju attīstīšanai. Šī darba mērķis ir pierādīt, ka stundu plāni, kuri ir īpaši izstrādāti, lai attīstītu runas prasmes, ir svarīgi un nepieciešami. Teoriju izmantojot praksē, tika novērotas angļu valodas nodarbības, kuras tika mācītas pēc šiem stundu plāniem, kā arī izanalizētas tās dalībnieku atsauksmes. Pētījuma rezultāti un secinājumi var tikt izmantoti, lai palielinātu runas prasmju apguves efektivitāti šādu mācību grupu dalībniekiem.

| dc.description.abstract | The present paper investigates the best means of developing the target group learners’ speaking skills within the framework of non-formal education programme English language courses for unemployed people. The theoretical part deals with the role and aims of needs analysis and examines various ways and approaches to teaching speaking skills. The stating of the learners’ needs is based on a case study, during which classroom observation and analysis of the questionnaires were used as a means of data gathering. The data obtained indicate that the learners’ most essential language skill is speaking. The research paper aims at proving the importance and usefulness of specially designed lesson plans which incorporate activities for developing the learners’ speaking skills. It relates theory to practice by observing the target group lessons and analysing the learners’ and the teachers’ feedback. The results and conclusions of this research can be used in the language classroom in order to make the development of speaking skills more effective.
