Portfolio kā vārdu krājuma attīstības līdzeklis arodskolās

Abstract

Dotā pētījuma mērķis ir izanalizēt Portfolio metodes ietekmi uz angļu valodas vārdu krājuma attīstības procesu arodizglītības mācību iestādēs. Pētījumā piedalījās Rīgas Vieglās rūpniecības tehnikuma audzēkņi, kas mācās angļu valodu kā pirmo svešvalodu; no tiem 80 otro kursu audzēkņi un 120 trešo un ceturto kursu audzēkņi, kā arī desmit angļu valodas skolotāji. Iegūtie dati tika izanalizēti kvalitatīvi un kvantitatīvi. Dotā diplomdarba autore sniedz literatūras avotu pārskatu par Portfolio metodi, tās nozīmi un praktisko pielietojumu angļu valodas mācīšanas un mācīšanās procesā, izpēta dažādus vārdu krājuma tipus, apskata daudzveidīgus vārdu krājuma attīstības paņēmienus, un sniedz pētnieciskā darba secinājumus un metodiskus ieteikumus tālākai darbībai šajā nozarē.

The purpose of the current study is to investigate the influence of the Portfolio approach on the English language vocabulary development in vocational schools. The research population were 80 English language students of the 2nd grade, 120 learners of the 3rd and 4th grades of Riga Technical Vocational School of Light Industry, and ten English language teachers participated in the research. The obtained data were analysed in qualitative and quantitative ways. The author of the present diploma paper gives an insight of the literature sources on the Portfolio approach, its meaning and practical implementation in the English language teaching and learning, investigates different types of vocabulary, explores various teaching techniques for English vocabulary development, and proposes methodological suggestions for the further work in the field.
