Medicīnas ierīču un aprīkojuma programmatūras lietošanas instrukciju tulkošana

Abstract

Šajā maģistra darbā tiek pētīta medicīnas tekstu tulkošana, tehniskā tulkošana, speciālā lietojuma valoda (SLV), kā arī medicīnas terminoloģija un terminrade. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, vai medicīnas ierīču un aprīkojuma programmatūru lietošanas instrukciju tehniskā tulkošana ir uzskatāma par daļu no medicīnas tekstu tulkošanas. Darba autore ir pētījusi un salīdzinājusi teoriju par tulkošanu, vēršot uzmanību uz medicīnas tekstu tulkošanas un tehniskās tulkošanas īpatnībām. Turklāt ir sniegts ieskats medicīnas terminoloģijā, jo medicīnas terminu atveide ir viens no sarežģītākajiem uzdevumiem medicīnas tekstu tulkošanā.Darba empīriskajā daļā aprakstītas un analizētas divas lietošanas instrukcijas – par krūšu ultraskaņas izmeklējumu programmatūru un automātisko asinsspiediena mērītāju, kā arī analizētas izmantotās tulkošanas metodes, atveidojot tehniskos tekstus un terminus no angļu valodas latviešu valodā. Tika pierādīts, ka medicīnas ierīču un aprīkojuma programmatūru lietošanas instrukciju tehniskā tulkošana ir uzskatāma par daļu no medicīnas tekstu tulkošanas.

This master thesis is devoted to medical text translation, technical translation, Language for Special Purposes (LSP), as well as medical terminology and term formation. The goal of the paper is to investigate, whether translation of user manuals for medical devices and equipment software might be considered as technical translation and is a subsection of medical translation. The author has studied and compared the theory on translation, focusing on the medical text and technical translation. In addition, the insight into the medical terminology has been provided, as it is the most important challenge to be solved. In the empirical part two operator manuals have been described and analysed; ultrasound breast analysis software and automatic blood pressure monitor. The applied translation methods have been analysed reproducing texts and terms from English into Latvian. It has been proved that the translation of user manuals on medical devices and equipment software is regarded as technical translation and is the subsection of medical translation.
