Diplomdarba tēma ir „Distanctulkošanas priekšrocības un trūkumi”. Šī darba mērķis ir apskatīt distanctulkošanas priekšrocības un trūkumus un secināt vai šis tulkošanas veids ir īstenojams dzīvē. Darbā apskatītās distanctulkošanas priekšrocības balstītas uz autora praktisko pieredzi un loģisko domāšanu, savukārt, aprakstot trūkumus ir ņemts vērā arī pētījums, kas izpētīja kā cilvēciskie apstākļi (stress, nogurums) ietekmē tulka darbu distanctulkošanas apstākļos. Papildus teorētiskam distanctulkošanas aprakstam darbā iekļauts arī autora distanctulkošanas pieredzes novērtējums, kurā mēģināts noteikt vai teorētiskās priekšrocības un trūkumi ir novērojami arī praksē. The subject of the diploma paper is „Advantages and Disadvantages of Remote Interpreting”. The goal of the paper is to look at the advantages and disadvantages or remote interpreting and conclude whether this mode of interpreting is feasible in practice. Advantages discussed in the paper are based on the practical experience and the common sense of the author, while the description of disadvantages is based also on a study how human factors (stress, fatigue) affect the interpreter’s work in remote interpreting conditions. Besides the theoretical description of remote interpreting, the paper also includes an evaluation of author's own practical experience in remote interpreting conditions in order to establish whether theoretical advantages and disadvantages are observed in practice as well.
