Latvijas augstskolu sociālās telpas un akadēmiskās vides salīdzinājums

Abstract

Šī darba nosaukums ir „Latvijas augstskolu sociālās telpas un akadēmiskās vides salīdzinājums”. Pētījuma mērķis ir salīdzināt un noskaidrot reģionālo augstskolu un Rīgas augstskolu, kurās ir iespēja studēt socioloģiju, atšķirības starp „sociālo telpu” – vidi, kurā veidojas un attīstās attiecības starp tur esošajiem cilvēkiem, kā arī „akadēmisko nodrošinājumu” – interpretējot to, kā visu studiju nodrošinājumu, kuru piedāvā konkrētā augstskola veiksmīga studiju procesa apguvei. Pētījuma pamatpieņēmumi: reģionālajās augstskolās starp studentiem un pasniedzējiem ir īpaša komunikācija un saikne, jo studentu skaits katrā kursā ir salīdzinoši neliels, pretstatā Rīgas augstskolās katrā kursā ir vidēji 50 studentu un ir grūti uzturēt aktīvu komunikāciju ar visiem saviem kursabiedriem. Pētījuma uzdevumu veiksmīgai izpildei un hipotēzes pierādīšanai, praktiskajā daļā tika izmantotas kvalitatīvās pētīšanas metodes – padziļinātās intervijas ar studentiem un ekspertiem, novērojumi un dokumentu analīze.

The headline of this work is „Comparison of social and academic environment in the institutions of higher education in Latvia”. Analyzing the current situation of academic and social environment the author of the work discovered that there exists visible differences between regional highschools (outside Riga) and high schools in Riga. The aim is to compare differences between regional high school and high schools of Riga in „social space” – which is defined as environment which develops between all the people who spend their time in the high school building and „academic environment” – which is defined as all the tehnical supply for qualitative, succesful and effective study process. The basic assumptions are that in regional high schools between students and lecturers there is closer communication and close contact between each other. Practical part of the research is using the qualitative research methods – observations, analyzing the documents and interviews with students and with experts in every institution of higher education – to inquire their attitude and opinion to offered possibilities.
