Maģistra darba tēma ir „Interneta sociālie tīkli draugiem.lv, mammam/tetiem.lv un twitter.com kā reklāmas nesēji Latvijā (2009.gads)”. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt Latvijas interneta sociālo tīklu vidi kā potenciāli augošu un reklāmai piemērotu, kā arī izpētīt pamanāmākos reklāmas gadījumus šajos portālos.
Teorijas daļā tiek apskatīta Web 2.0 ēra, interneta reklāmas un sociālo mediju mārketinga īpatnības, sociālo tīklu fenomens un teorijas, Latvijas reklāmas tirgus un auditorija, kā arī sociālo tīklu draugiem.lv, mammam/tetiem.lv, twitter.com vēsture, īpatnības, auditorijas un reklāmas iespējas tajos.
Empīrijas daļā tiek atspoguļoti veikto pētījumu rezultāti – aptaujas iezīmētie interneta, sociālo tīklu un reklāmas lietošanas paradumi, ekspertu vērtējums par Latvijas sociālo tīklu kā reklāmas nesēju potenciālu, kā arī reklāmas gadījumu analīze un reklāmas īpatnības pētāmajos sociālajos portālos.

The aim of the work is to investigate the social networks in Latvia as a potentially growing environment for advertising.
The chapter of theory deals with Web 2.0 era, traits of internet advertisement, marketing of social media, phenomena and theories of social networks, advertising markets and their audience in Latvia and history, traits, audience and advertising possibilities of social networks draugiem.lv, mammam/tetiem.lv, twitter.com.
The empirical chapter shows the investigation results about habits of internet, social network and advertising audience based on the poll, the opinion of media experts about advertising potential of social networks in Latvia and analysis of advertisement trends and cases in the social networks.
