Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir „Siguldas novada domes attiecības ar sabiedrību (2003 - 2009)”. Par darba mērķi izvirzīts - izpētīt Siguldas novada domes attiecību ar sabiedrību īpatnības, nosakot galvenās problēmas un veiksmes piemērus. Mērķis tiek sasniegts vispirms aplūkojot teoriju par pašvaldībām un to kompetenci, par sabiedriskajām attiecībām, par sabiedriskajām attiecībām pašvaldībās, un pēc tam, pamatojoties uz empīriskajā pētījumā iegūtajiem datiem, izpētot Siguldas novada domes attiecības ar sabiedrību un identificējot problēmas. Izvirzītā darba hipotēze - Siguldas novada domes attiecības ar sabiedrību negatīvi ietekmē iedzīvotāju informētības trūkums par Siguldas novada domes darbu un aktivitātēm, darba gaitā tika pierādīta, pamatojoties uz iedzīvotāju aptaujā iegūtajiem datiem par zemo iedzīvotāju informētības līmeni.

The title of this work is “Sigulda region municipality relations with society (2003 -2009)”. The objective of the work nominated - to investigate the Sigulda region municipality relationship with the community features, identifying key issues and examples of success. The objective is achieved primarily looking at the theory of local governments and their jurisdiction, for public relations, public relations for local government, and then, based on empirical study findings by exploring Sigulda region municipality relations with the public and the identification of problems. The proposed working hypothesis - Sigulda region municipality relations with the public have a negative effect because of citizens' lack of awareness about the Sigulda region municipality works and activities, in the work has been proved on the basis of population survey data collected about low level of awareness among the citizens. But it was also concluded that Sigulda region municipality is not responsible for citizens' lack of awareness, but people lack motivation and initiative to find information and get involved.
