Nacionālās bibliotēkas tīmekļa vietne kā informācijas avots un publicitātes līdzeklis

Abstract

Pētījumā „Nacionālās bibliotēkas kā informācijas avots un publicitātes līdzeklis” apskatītā problēmsituācija - informācijai nacionālās bibliotēkas tīmekļa vietnē jābūt konkurētspējīgai ar citu globālajā tīmeklī pieejamo informāciju, pretējā gadījumā bibliotēka var zaudēt savu nozīmi informācijas telpā. Pētījuma mērķis – noskaidrot nacionālo bibliotēku tīmekļa vietņu nozīmi informācijas sabiedrības veidošanā un attīstīšanā. Pētījuma rezultāti parāda, ka daudzi nacionālo bibliotēku tīmekļa vietņu veidotāji pasaulē nav pietiekami novērtējuši globālā tīmekļa piedāvātās iespējas. Nacionālo bibliotēku tīmekļa vietņu kvalitāte dažādos reģionos ir atšķirīga, tā ir saistīta arī ekonomisko un vēsturisko situāciju valstī.

The problem situation who disuse the study “National Library Website as Source of Information and Means of Publicity’’ is competitiveness of national library websites with other accessible information in World Wide Web, otherwise the national library will lose it signification in information space. The purpose of this study – find the value of national library website in the creating and developing of information’s society. The results of study shows that the grate potentialities of World Wide Web don’t make use a big part of designers of national library websites in world. The quality of national library websites is various in different regions and be addicted also with economical and historical situation in country.
