Maģistra darbā „Latvijas bibliotēkas 2007. – 2013. gadā: kultūrpolitikas īstenošana valsts attīstības plānošanas sistēmas ietvaros” analizēti galvenie Latvijas kultūrpolitikas dokumenti, kas nosaka nozares attīstību līdz 2013. gadam, lai identificētu jomas un darbības virzienus, kuri tiek uzskatīti par prioritāriem bibliotēku nozarei. Darba galvenie jautājumi: Vai nozaru plānošana pakārtota valsts kopējām attīstības prioritātēm? Vai politikas plānošanas dokumenti ir sasaistīti ar valsts budžeta veidošanas procesu un valdības prioritātēm? Vai politikas plānošanas dokumentos ir skaidri definēta bibliotēku ilgtermiņa attīstība?

The Master`s theses „Libraries in Latvia 2007 – 2013: the Implementation of Cultural Policy within the Framework of the State Development Planning System” deals with the analysis of the main cultural policy documents of Latvia determining the development of the library sphere up to 2015 to identify the areas and performance directions prior to the library sphere. The key questions of the work: is the sphere planning process subordinate to the development of the state`s common priorities? Are the documents of the policy planning related to the process of formation of the state budget and the government priorities? Is the long- term development of the libraries clearly defined in the documents of the policy planning?
