GPS ir navigācijas sistēma, kas ar satelītu palīdzību nodrošina aiecīga uztvērēja īpašniekam iespēju noteikt precīzu savu atrašanās vietu uz Zemes virsmas vai tuvu tai. Šī sensora rādījumus var ierakstīt kopā ar laiku, tādējādi fiksējot sensora īpašnieka atrašanās vietu vēsturi. Darba mērķis ir izstrādāt neuzraudzītās mašīnmācīšanās algoritmu un atrast pazīmes, kas spētu sadalīt ierakstītu GPS datu ceļu atsevišķos fragmentos pēc pārvietošanās metodes bez jebkādas lietotāja atgriezeniskās saites. GPS is a navigational system, which, with the help of multiple saelites, allows the owner of a receiver to determine his or her location on the surface of Earth or close to it. e sensor’s readings can be recorded along with current time to produce the sensor’s owner’s travel history. e goal of this thesis is to develop an unsupervised machine-learning algorithm and find the necessary features to split a recorded path of GPS coordinates into segments based on transportation modes without any explicit user feedback.
