Maģistra darba mērķis ir Baltijas valstu elektroenerģijas politikas izpēte un attīstības virzieni, ES2020 stratēģijas kontekstā. Darbā tiek izpētīta elektroenerģijas nozare Baltijas valstīs īpaši koncentrējoties uz situāciju Latvijā. Mērķa sasniegšanai darbā izpētīta Eiropas Savienības izdotā stratēģija ES2020 un tās ietekme uz Baltijas valstīm, situācija Baltijas enerģētikas drošības jomā, Krievijas praktizētā enerģētikas politika, Latvijas enerģētikas stratēģija 2030, Baltijas valstu kopējo enerģētikas projektu attīstība un atjaunojamo energoresursu īpatsvara palielināšanas situācija Baltijas valstīs. Izpētes rezultātā konstatēts, ka situācija enerģētikas nozarē Baltijas valstīs attīstās ļoti strauji, ir ieguldīts liels darbs rezultātu panākšanai un tas arī tiek turpināts, tomēr ne visas jomas ir pieti In the master thesis „Baltic energy policy in the context of EU2020”, energy situation in the EU and Baltic states has been examined.
