Reliģiskā subjektivitāte starp Pēdējo Dienu Svēto Jēzus Kristus Baznīcas draudzes locekļiem

Abstract

Šī darba mērķis ir aplūkot Pēdējo dienu svēto Jēzus Kristus baznīcas draudzes locekļu subjektivitāti un patiesību kā vienu no tās pamatelementiem. Balstoties uz Džona Serla institucionālā fakta jēdzienu, jauniegūta reliģiska patiesība tiek skatīta kā institucionālu faktu kopums, kas rodas konkrētā sociālā realitātē un indivīdu savstarpējā mijiedarbībā. Darbā tiek parādīts, ka reliģiskā patiesība ir ne tikai vēsturiski veidota un baznīcas struktūrā apstiprināta, bet arī tiek pastāvīgi iegūta no jauna un apliecināta baznīcas locekļu atklāsmēs un citās emocionālās praksēs.

This work focuses on the subjectivity of the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Latvia. Building on John Searle’s concept of institutional fact, the work examines conceptions of truth as the central element of religious subjectivity. Truth is seen as a set of institutional facts rooted in social world. This work examines how new Church members gain and affirm new truth through revelations and other religious practices. Religious truth is not only historically made and built into the structure of the Church, but also achieved and strengthened through the feelings – emotional responses of Church members.
