Estētiskās vērtības literatūrā atspoguļo galvenās idejas, kas izveidojās un attīstījās attiecīgajā laika posmā. Pētījumā izmantotie citāti vedina uz O.Vailda darbu atmosfēru. Pētījums ietver vairāku O.Vailda literāro darbu izpēti. Darbā attēlota autora saistošā, cilvēciskās esamības, sabiedrības izpēte, un mākslas vērtība dzīvē.

This work is based on the presentation of the aesthetic values represented by O. Wilde in his works. This research deals with the aestheticism as a movement in literature as well as variety of ways it influenced writers of that time, specifically O. Wilde's life and literary works.
Aesthetic notion in literature reflects general concept of the age it established and developed. In this research quotations applied suggest atmosphere of the works by O. Wilde. The work includes observation of several O. Wilde's literary works. The research portrays author's passionate engagement with the human condition, society and the value of art in life.
This paper has been planned as an introduction into the extensive world of the great ideas of O. Wilde as a member and one of leading Aestheticism representatives. There are still many issues to be analysed within the frameworks of this theme.
