Bērnu literatūras tulkošana: Eleonora H.Portere "Polianna"

Abstract

Diplomdarba tēma ir „Bērnu literatūras tulkošana: Eleonora H. Portere "Pollianna"”. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt romāna „Pollianna” tulkojuma īpatnības bērnu literatūras sistēmas ietvaros un salīdzināt oriģinālā teksta un tulkojuma izglītojošo vērtību un adresātu. Pētījumā iekļauta gan teorētiskā, gan praktiskā daļa. Darbs iedalīts vairākās nodaļās un apakšnodaļās. Pētījuma procesā tika atklāts, ka bērnu literatūras tulkošana ir ļoti specifiska joma, kas sniedz tulkotājam zināmu brīvību, taču arī pieprasa noteiktu bērnu literatūras tulkošanas noteikumu ievērošanu. Tāpat tika atklāts, ka „Polliannas” tulkojums lieliski iekļaujas bērnu literatūras tulkošanas sistēmā un tā izglītojošā vērtība un adresāts ir ekvivalenti oriģinālajam tekstam.

The theme of this research is „Translation of Children’s Literature: Eleanor H. Porter "Pollyanna"”. The aim of the research is to examine specifics of translation of “Pollyanna” within the system of children’s literature and to compare educational value and addressee of the source text and the target text. The research consists of both theoretical and practical part and is divided into several chapters and subchapters. During the research process it was discovered that translation of children’s literature is a very specific field, which gives the translator certain liberties, but also requires abidance to certain rules of translation for children. It was also discovered that the translation of “Pollyanna” perfectly fits into the system of translation of children’s literature and has an equal educational value and addressee to the original text.
