Sociālos mēdijos lietojamie iniciālismi emuāru ierakstu un tiešsaistes tērzēšanas ziņojumu korpusos

Abstract

Šī pētījuma centrā ir Loyola CMC korpusā atrasto iniciālismu analizēšana. Darba mērķis ir pētīt un analizēt iniciālismus, kas tika atrasti emuāru ierakstos un tiešsaites tērzēšanas ziņojumos, kā arī atklāt iniciālismu lietojuma biežumu un salīdzināt to starp sešām tēmām, kas ir apspriestas emuāru ierakstos un tiešsaites tērzēšanas ziņojumos. Lai iegūtu datus, kopumā tika analizēti 126 faili, kas atkarībā no faila nosaukuma tika sadalīti 6 tēmās – katoļu baznīca, geju laulības, marihuānas legalizēšana, tiesības uz privāto dzīvi, dzimuma diskriminācija un karš Irākā, katrā ietverot 21 failu. Pētījuma rezultāti atklāja, ka iniciālismi tiek lietoti bieži un to atkārtošanās biežums ir atkarīgs no tēmas, par kuru tiek diskutēts.

The focus of the present study is on the analysis of initialisms found in Loyola CMC corpus. The goal of the present study it to investigate and analyse the initialisms found in the blog posts and the chat messages, as well as to disclose the frequency of their use and compare it within six themes of the blog posts and the chat messages. In order to obtain data 126 files were analysed. According to the filenames, they were divided into 6 themes – Catholic Church, Gay Marriage, Legalization of Marijuana, Privacy Rights, Sex Discrimination, and War in Iraq. Each theme contains 21 files. The results of the analysis show that initialisms are frequently used and the frequency of their use depend on the theme which has been discussed.
