dc.description.abstract | Šis darbs ir veltīts tulkošanas teorijas izpētei, kā arī dažādu tulkošanas problēmu izpētei, kuras varētu rasties recepšu latviskošans procesa laikā. Šī darba prakstiskā daļa, kurā ietverta iztulkoto recepšu analīze, ir balstīta uz teorētiskajām nostādnēm, kas aprakstītas darba sakumā.
Diplomdarba autore ir iztulkojusi un analzējusi šādas receptes: Banānu čatnijs, Risoto ar safrānu, Čouders Arbroath Smokie jeb kūpinātas pikšas biezzupa, Baba ganoush, Cepts fetas siers ar olīvu tapenādi un baba ganoush, Ātri pagatavojama Baklava, Cūkgaļas fileja ar vīģu un balzametiķa mērci, Pīle ar kartupeļiem, krējuma mērcē pagatavotiem, virziņkāpostiem un sarkanvīna mērci, Ideāli pagatavoti basmati rīsi, Baraviku lazanja, Liellopu gaļas medaljoni ar sēnēm, trifelēm un tumšā alus mērci, Steiks ar ceptiem smalki sagrieztiem kartupeļiem, Bernēzes mērci, burkāniem un brokoļiem, Bešamela mērce, Karamelizēti ķirši ar itāļu cepumiem, Krabju un ingvera safrāna ravioli ar omāra gaļas mērci.
Šajā darbā tiek pētīts kādas tulkošanas metodes varētu atvieglot recepšu tulkošanas
problēmas.

dc.description.abstract | The present paper is devoted to the research of the translation theory, as well as to the analysis of the challenges that might occur in the translation of recipes. The theoretical background is used to work out the practical part of the diploma paper that includes the analysis of the translation problems in the rendition of recipes.
The following recipes have been translated and analysed by the author of the work from English into Latvian: Banana Chutney, Saffron isotto, Arbroath Smokie Chowder, Baba Ganoush, Baked Feta with Olive Tapenade and Baba Ganoush, Quick Baklava, Pork Loin with Figs and Balsamic Dressing, Duck with Potato, Creamed Savoy Cabbage and Red Wine Sauce, Perfect Basmati Rice, Porcini (Cep) Lasagne, Beef Medallions with Wild Mushroom, Truffle and Porter Sauce, Steak and Chips with Béarnaise Sauce and Carrots and Broccoli, Béchamel Sauce, Sauteed Cherries with Biscotti Cantucci, and Crab and Ginger Saffron Ravioli with a Lobster Bisque Sauce.
The present paper aims also at investigating various methods of translation that might help to overcome the linguistic problems that might emerge in the rendition of recipes.
