| dc.description.abstract | Attēls un valoda tiešsaistes laikrakstos ir pētījums, kas apskata attēla un teksta mijiedarbības fenomenu un to funkcijas laikrakstos publicētajās ziņās. Darba mērķis bija noskaidrot vai attēlu un valodas pielietojums atšķiras drukātajos un tiešsaistes laikrakstos, kā arī atspoguļot nelielu ieskatu laikraksta vēsturiskajā attīstībā. Darbā izmantota multimodālā un diskursa analīze. Attēli laikrakstos nebija sastopami vieni – tie bija attēloti kopā ar tekstu, tāpēc, informācija tiek nogādāta ar divu dažādu struktūru palīdzību – valodas un vizuālajām struktūrām. Kvantitatīvā analīze ir parādījusi, ka attēlam atvēlētā vieta, un līdz ar to arī tā loma gadu laikā ir pieaugusi. | dc.description.abstract | Image and Language in Online Newspapers is a research paper that has been devoted to researching the phenomena of combining the image and text and their functions in delivery of news in newspapers. The aim of the paper was to find out whether the use of image and language in online edition of newspapers differ and to see the historical development of a newspaper. The basis for the method employed in the observation is multimodal interactional analysis and discourse analysis. Images in newspapers were not presented alone, therefore, information was carried out by two structures – linguistic and visual.The analysis of the multimodal discourse has shown that both the text and image can be regarded as forms of visual communication.
