Maģistra darba „Materiālās labklājības nodrošināšanas stratēģijas trūcīgā ģimenē” problēma ir nukleārās ģimenes materiālās izdzīvošanas iespējas un pieejas. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt trūcīgas ģimenes materiālās labklājības nodrošināšanas pieejas un paņēmienus jeb stratēģijas. Darba galvenie uzdevumi: mājsaimniecības un ģimenes stratēģiju un reciprocitātes jēdzienu un koncepciju analīze; statistikas datu un normatīvo dokumentu analīze; pētījuma metodoloģijas pamatojums, pētījuma veikšana, datu apraksts un analīze.
Rezultātā var secināt, lai gan ģimene izmanto vairākas materiālās labklājības nodrošināšanas stratēģijas, tās rīcība ne vienmēr ir apsvērta no ekonomiskā viedokļa, tā nav vērtējama kā stratēģiska jeb mērķtiecīgi plānota un principiāli īstenota rīcība.

The problem of the master thesis “Welfare strategies in a low income family” is survival facilities and approaches of one nuclear family. The aim of the thesis is to investigate welfare strategies of one particular low income family. The main tasks are as follows: the analysis of household and family strategies and the concept of reciprocity; the overview of main documents and statistical data according to the problem; designing the methodology of the empirical research; carrying out the research, interpretation and analysis of the data.
The main conclusion of the research is following – although the family applies various welfare strategies, the family actions basically are not considered from the economic perspective, they are not assessed as strategically or targeted and well-considered actions.
