Bakalaura darbs ir pētījums par automašīnu vadītāju motivāciju uzņemt stopētājus savā automašīnā. Darba mērķi ir izpētīt faktorus, kas ietekmē autovadītāju motivāciju uzņemt stopētājus. Darba uzdevumi ir, izmantojot sociālo tīklu teoriju, sociālās rīcības un komunikatīvās rīcības teorētiskās atziņas, identificēt automašīnu vadītāju motivāciju ietekmējošos faktorus ar kvantitatīvo pieeju, aptauju ar anketēšanu, izpētīt faktorus, kas ietekmē automašīnu vadītāju motivāciju uzņemt stopētājus, un izanalizēt iegūtos datus.
Darba empīriskajā daļā atklāts, ka lielākā daļa autovadītāju, kas izvēlās uzņemt stopētājus, paši kādreiz ir stopējuši. Automašīnu vadītāju motivāciju uzņemt stopētājus visspēcīgāk ietekmē vēlme palīdzēt, kā arī fakts, ka autovadītājs pats ir kādreiz pārvietojies stopējot, turklāt tā ir atkarīga arī no stopētāja izskata un izturēšanās. The thesis is a research about car drivers motivation to take hitchhikers. The purpose of the thesis is to explore the factors which influences car drivers motivation to take hitchhikers. The task of inquiry is, by using social network theory, social action theory and communication theory, identify the factors that influence drivers motivation, using qualitative approach, survey, identify factors, which influences car drivers to pick up hitchhikers and analyze obtained data.
In the thesis author discovered, that the most of car drivers who take hitchhikers, have been hitchhiking on their own. The strongest motivation to pick up hitchhikers is desire to help and the fact, that car drivers have been hitchhiking on their own. Another important factor for hitchhiker to be picked up is their appearance and behavior on the road.
