The goal of this thesis was to study high-resolution absorption spectrum of the star CGCS3319. To understand the methodology of spectrum analysis, high-resolution absorption spectrum of Arcturus atmosphere was also studied.
Using the Dech20t spectrum analysis software, continuum over intensity line maximums was constructed. By measuring the radial speed (CGCS3319 vr = -137.7 km/s) the Doppler correction was taken into account. Absorption lines were identified using an atlas. Then the equivalent widths of spectral lines were calculated.
Using WIDTH6 [14] software as well as models of the atmosphere and equivalent widths of blended spectral lines, the concentrations of elements in Arcturus and CGCS3319 atmospheres was calculated.
With the help of the same WIDTH6 software the various characteristic parameters of Arcturus atmosphere were determined: effective temperature (Teff = 4300K), freefall acceleration (lgg = 1.5) and the speed of micro turbulence (vt = 1.5 km/s). Concentrations of chemical elements in Arcturus atmosphere ([Fe] = -0.56 ± 0.07dex; [Ti] = -0.40 ± 0.03dex; [Cr] = -0.74 ± 0.03dex) were in a good agreement with the data in literature. To calculate concentrations in CGCS3319 atmosphere the data from [8] was used. Calculations showed that concentration of Fe ([FeI] = -3.4 dex) in CGCS3319 atmosphere was by 3.4 dex lower than on the Sun. This result indicates low presence of metals on the star.
