Bakalaura darba mērķis bija apzināt Rīgas dižozolus un novērtēt Rīgas dižozolu pašreizējo stāvokli, ietekmējošos vai potenciāli ietekmējošos un apdraudošos faktorus, kā arī izstrādāt ieteikumus koku aizsardzībai. Apsekoti dižozoli visā Rīgas pilsētas teritorijā un novērtēts to stāvoklis. Izveidota Rīgas dižozolu izplatības karte. Rīgas dižozolu izplatība analizēta kontekstā ar Rīgas vēsturi un attīstību. Darbā iekļautas sabiedriskās aptaujas par dižozoliem, kas ļauj saprast sabiedrības informētību par dižkokiem. Balstoties uz rezultātiem, darba nobeigumā izteikti priekšlikumi dižkoku aizsardzībai un sabiedrības informēšanā.

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to study the noble oak trees in the Riga City and to find out their actual conservation status, influencing or potentially influencing and perhaps threatening factors as well as to recommend the conservation measures for the future. The noble oaks were investigated within all the territory of the Riga City and their status was evaluated. As a result, the distribution map of the noble oaks was prepared. The distribution of the oaks was analyzed in context with the historical development of the Riga City. In order to understand the awareness of the society on the conservation of noble trees, a public quetionnaire was included in this work. On the basis of the outcome of this work, some recommendations for the management and conservation of noble oaks were proposed.
