Maģistra darba izstrādes gaitā veiktie pētījumi un iegūtie rezultāti sniedz informāciju par Ventas senielejas ziemeļu daļas ģeoloģisko attīstību. Ventas senielejas ziemeļdaļā veikti ģeoloģiskā zondēšana, urbšana, nogulumu vizuālo novērtēšanu, dokumentēšanu un paraugu ievākšana laboratorijas analīzēm, veiktas sporu-putekšņu un diatomeju (kramaļģu) analīzes, kūdras botāniskā sastāva un sadalīšanās pakāpes noteikšana, kā arī izmantoti nogulumu ar 14C metodi iegūtie absolūtās datēšanas rezultāti. Iegūtie dati vizualizēti un izveidotas sporu-putekšņu diagrammas. Iegūtie rezultāti ļauj secināt, ka organogēnie nogulumi Ventas senielejas ziemeļu daļā uzkrājušies kopš atlantiskā laika vidus. Darbs ietver: 82 lappuses, 24 attēlus, 2 tabulas un 3 pielikumus.

Investigations carried out in the course of elaboration of Master’s thesis and obtained results provide information on geological development of the Venta ancient valley. Geological sounding, coring visual estimation and description of sediments, sampling for laboratory analysis has been done in the northern part of the Venta ancient valley, Results of spore-pollen, diatom, peat botanical composition and decomposition analyses as well as sediment dating results obtained by 14C method have been used for reconstruction of geological development of the Venta ancient valley. Obtained data have been visualised and spore-pollen diagrams have been created. Obtained results allow concluding that organic sediments have been deposits in the Venta ancient valley since the middle part of the Atlantic Time. Thesis include: 82 pages, 24 figures, 2 tables and 3 appendixes.
