Darba aktualitāte - pēdējā laikā attīstās tautas stereotipu teorija, un īpaši tiek vērtētas zināšanas, kas atspoguļo pasaules tēlu. Tas izskaidro mentalitātes pētīšanu lingvistiski, ar valodas palīdzību, un atklāj pastiprinātu valodnieku interesi par metaforu, arī par zoometaforu.
Darba mērķis - izpētīt dzīvnieku vārdu izmantošanu somu metaforā - kā tie iedalās, vai dzīvnieku metaforai ir kāds emocionāls uzdevums, un kādi tēli cilvēkiem no tā veidojas.
Analizējot metaforas, atklājas, ka visbiežāk dzīvnieku metaforas izmanto salīdzinājumos, runājot par cilvēkiem. Vienlīdz redzam, ka dzīvnieku metaforas iedalās trīs grupās: negatīvā, neitrālā un pozitīvā.Secināju, ka metaforu izmantošana ir nepieciešama, lai varētu atspoguļot cilvēku raksturus, viņu rīcību, aprakstot tos kā stereotipus, kuri nostiprinājušies tautas kultūrā.

It explains the mentality research in linguistical way, and reveals increased linguist interest for metaphor, including zoometafor.
Aim of the work - explore animals name in the use of metaphor does animal metaphor have any emotional task, and what images people get from it.
Analyzing metaphors reveal that the most common animal metaphors use comparisons, when talking about people. We can see that the animal metaphors are divided into three groups: negative, neutral and positive.
It was concluded that the use of the metaphor is necessary in order to reflect the people character, their actions, describing them as stereotypes, which are cemented into nation culture.
