Identitātes meklējumi Abes Kōbō darbos „Sieviete smiltīs” un „Svešā seja”

Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Identitātes meklējumi Abes Kōbō romānos „Sieviete smiltīs” un „Svešā seja”.” Šī tēma tika izvēlēta, jo jautājums par identitāti un tās meklējumiem Japānā ir aktuāls arī mūsdienās, tas skar gan katru indivīdu atsevišķi, gan visu sabiedrību kopumā. Bakalaura darbā tika izvēlēts tieši šis autors un viņa romāni „Sieviete smiltīs” un „Svešā seja”, jo Abe Kōbō ir ļoti neordināra personība pēckara Japānas literatūrā, kurš mainījis ierastos priekšstatus par japāņu literatūras savdabīgumu un ieviesis tajā tendences no pasaules literatūras. Tas romānos „Sieviete smiltīs” un „Svešā seja” ļāvis uz japānisko identitātes izpratni palūkoties no cita skatu punkta. Minētie darbi tika izvēlēti, jo tajos autors apraksta cilvēkus, kas atsvešinājušies no sabiedrības un cieš no identitātes zuduma. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt, kā izpaužas galveno varoņu identitātes meklējumi un cik lielā mērā autors identificējas ar savu romānu „Sieviete smiltīs” un „Svešā seja” galvenajiem varoņiem. Darba gaitā tiek arī izpētīts, cik lielā mērā autora identitātes jēdziena izpratni un viņa romānu varoņu identitātes meklējumus ir iespaidojusi rietumnieciskā pasaules uztvere un eksistenciālisma filozofija. Darbs sastāv no četrām nodaļām un vairakām apakšnodaļām, tajās apkopotā informācija liecina, ka Abes daiļrade ir cieši saistīta ar biogrāfiju un viņa romānos „Sieviete smiltīs” un „Svešā seja” paustās idejas un atainotais identitātes meklējumu process vairāk raksturīgs rietumnieciskajam pasaules skatījumam, nevis atbilst tradicionālajai japāņu dzīves uztverei. Autors aprakstījis Ņiki Dzjunpeja un inženiera Okujamas identitātes veidošanās procesu ekstremālās un pat absurdās situacijās, sīki pievērsies varoņu garīgajam portretējumam un pārdzīvojumiem. The title of the Bachelor’s thesis is „The Search for the Identity in Works of Abe Kobo „Woman in the Dunes” and „Face of Another”.” The topic about the identity and the formation process of the identity was selected, because it is very actual in modern Japan, it concerns not only individuals, but also the whole society. The reason why exactly the novels „Woman in the Dunes” and „Face of Another” were selected because of the outstanding personality of Abe Kobo in postwar Japanese literature. He changed the usual perception of the uniqueness of the Japanese literature, introducing the trends of the world literature in his works. In novels „Woman in the Dunes” and „Face of Another” he offered an insight into a different pattern of the Japanese identity concept. Selected novels describe the suffering of individuals due to the loss of their identity and due to the alienation from the society. The aim of this bachelor thesis is the investigation of the identity formation process of the protagonist and an attempt is made to explore how deep the author identificates him with the protagonist of his novels „Woman in the Dunes” and „Face of Another”. Bachelor thesis tries to investigate the perception of the identity concept by the author himself, following up the influence of the Western worldview and existentialist philosophy in the protagonist’s search for identity. The thesis consists of four chapters and several subchapters, the collected information confirms that Abe’s writings are closely related to his biography. Ideas and identity formation process displayed in his novels „Woman in the Dunes” and „Face of Another” are more characteristic to the Western worldview than to the traditional Japanese perception of life. Abe described the identity formation processes of Niki Junpei and engineer Okuyama under extreme conditions, focused on detailed portrayal of the characters mental experience. A mixture of Japanese and Western cultural trends in his novels „Woman in the Dunes” and „Face of Another” resulted in an original worldview, peculiar values and a specific interpretation of the identity concept, which are characteristic only to him.
