Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot padomju pilsētnieka identitātes reprezentāciju laikrakstā “Rīgas Balss” 1957. un 1958. gadā.
Teorijas daļā aplūkotas reprezentācijas, identitātes un ideoloģijas izpratnes, savukārt konteksta daļā izklāstīts padomju laikmeta un ideoloģijas apraksts, vēsturiskais fons 20. gs. 50.–60. gados.
Pētījuma veikšanai izmantota kvantitatīvā kontentanalīze, ar kuras palīdzību atlasītas un pētītas publikācijas, kas reprezentē padomju pilsētnieka identitāti, kā arī diskursa vēsturiskā analīze.
Rezultāti liecina, ka laikraksts “Rīgas Balss” 1957. un 1958. gadā reprezentē pozitīvo un negatīvo padomju pilsētnieka identitāti, pilsētniekus aplūkojot dažādos diskursos, no kuriem biežāk sastopamais ir pilsētnieks – (paraug)strādnieks. The aim of this Bachelor Paper is to determine how the identity of the soviet city-resident was represented in the daily paper “Rīgas Balss” between 1957 and 1958.
In the theoretical part, concepts of representation, identity and ideology are examined, and, in the context part, the author gives a description of the soviet era, ideology, and the historical background during the 1950s.
In order to conduct the research, the author uses quantitative content analysis to select and examine publications, as well as performs historic discourse analysis.
Results show that, in 1957 and 1958, “Rīgas Balss” represented both the positive and negative sides of the identity of the soviet city-resident by reflecting the image of the city-resident in various discourses, the most popular of which was as a model worker.
