Čehijas 2009.gada Eiropas Savienības prezidentūras analīze

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs “Čehijas 2009. gada Eiropas Savienības prezidentūras analīze” pievēršas tematam, kas ir īpaši aktuāls tieši mazajām ES dalībvalstīm, kuras rotējošo prezidentūru uzskata par iespēju ne tikai sevi starptautiski pierādīt, bet arī ietekmēt ES rīcībpolitiku iznākumus atkarībā no tās izvirzītajām prioritātēm. Čehijas prezidentūra ir interesants izpētes gadījums, tā kā ārējo un iekšpolitikas krīžu dēļ tās reputācija bijusi drīzāk negatīva. Tāpēc darba autore izvirza hipotēzi, ka Čehijas prezidentūras ietekme Eiropas Savienībā ir bijusi zema līmeņa. Pētījuma gaitā tomēr tiek secināts, ka, par spīti nelabvēlīgajai līderības videi, Čehijas prezidentūra tomēr nav bijusi tik neveiksmīga, kā tas ticis atspoguļots medijos, līdz ar to sākotnēji izvirzītā hipotēze netiek apstiprināta.

Bachelor thesis “Analysis of the 2009 Czech Presidency of the European Union” focuses on topic that is especially important exactly for small member states of the EU, which consider the rotating presidency as a possibility not only to prove themselves in the international level but also to change the EU policy outcomes according to their own priorities. The Czech Presidency serves as an interesting case study, since due to external as well as domestic crises it gained rather a negative reputation. Therefore, author of the paper sets a hypothesis that the level of influence of the Czech Presidency has been low. However, during the research it is concluded that in spite of the unfavorable leadership environment, Czech Presidency has not been as unsuccessful as it has been reflected by media, therefore, the initial hypothesis is not approved.
