Bakalaura darba tēma ir „Jauniešu ar invaliditāti iekļaušanās darba tirgū Rīgā”. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot faktorus, kas ietekmē jauniešu ar invaliditāti rīcību un motivāciju, iekļaujoties darba tirgū Rīgā.
Autors analizē invaliditāti no socioloģiskā skatījuma un normatīvajiem aktiem. Apskata sociāli kognitīvo teoriju un sociālos pētījumus par cilvēkiem ar invaliditāti.
Darba gaitā veiktas daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar jauniešiem un darba devējiem.
Jauniešiem ar invaliditāti ir spēcīga vēlme kļūt neatkarīgiem un būt noderīgiem. Tomēr izglītības trūkums un pašizolācijas iezīmes var kavēt viņu iekļaušanos darba tirgū. Intervijas norāda arī uz citiem faktoriem, kas kavē viņu integrāciju - piemērotu darba vietu trūkums un nepieejamu vidi, kā arī stereotipiski darba devēju uzskati.

The author analyses various sources that deal with disability from sociological and legal perspectives. The thesis also includes the analysis of the social cognitive theory and a number of social studies on the integration of the disabled.
The author conducted semi-structured interviews with young people and employer. Young people with disabilities have a strong desire to become independent and be useful. However, a lack of education and self-isolation may hinder their entrance into the labour market. The interviewees also point to other factors that hinder their integration - the lack of suitable jobs and accessible environment as well as to the stereotypical views of employers.
