Latvijas ārvalstu tiešo investīciju gravitācijas modelis

Abstract

Darba mērķa sasniegšanai ir pakārtota darba struktūra. Pirmajā teorētiskajā daļā autore apraksta ārvalstu tiešo investīciju būtību, veic ārvalstu tiešo investīciju analīzi Latvijas ekonomikas izaugsmes kontekstā, pamato labvēlīgas investīciju vides nepieciešamību, ka arī izanalizē valsts politiku ārvalstu tiešo investīciju aktivitātes veicināšanai Latvijā. Otrajā nodaļā ir nodefinēti faktori, kas ietekmē ārvalstu tiešo investīciju aktivitāti un kas var tikt iekļauti modelī parametru veidā. Tika apskatīti un apkopoti pasaules praksē izmantotie regresijas modeļi ārvalstu tiešo investīciju pētīšanai. Trešajā nodaļā tika izveidots gravitācijas modelis, kas ir piemērots Latvijā piesaistītu ārvalstu tiešo investīciju apjomu novērtēšanai valstu griezumā. Ekonometriskās analīzes rezultātā tika konstatēts, ka vairākas valstis iegulda naudas līdzekļus Latvijas tautsaimniecībā, bet ne visas valstis piesaista potenciāli iespējamo investīciju apjomu, tātad vajadzētu veikt papildus pētījumu un atrast instrumentus, kas motivēs šis valstis ieguldīt vairāk un efektīvāk. Tika secināts, ka ārvalstu tiešās investīcijas pozitīvi ietekmē Latvijas ekonomiku, kā arī ir vērojama tehnoloģiju pārnese. In the first theoretical part of this paper the author describes the nature of foreign direct investment, analyses the role that foreign direct investments play in the context of the economic growth of Latvia, makes an analysis of the public policy for promotion activity of foreign direct investment in Latvia. The second part is dedicated to the factors that have an influence on the activity of foreign direct investment flows and may be included as factors to the theoretical gravity model. Regression models that are used to analyse foreign direct investment flows in the world practice were summarised and discussed. In the third part gravity model for foreign direct investments in Latvia is developed. The results of econometric analysis show that several countries have invested money in the economy of Latvia, but not all of these countries use their potential. The countries which invest less than their economic conditions allow were identified, now it is crucial to find out ways to motivate these countries to invest the larger amount of money and to use these investment flows more efficiently. It was concluded that foreign direct investments have a positive impact on the growth of Latvian economy, and foreign direct investments allow the transfer of technology.
