Mūsdienās ļoti svarīgu lomu katras valsts attīstībā spēlē Tiešās ārvalstu investīcijas (TĀI), šīs investīcijas nodrošina un norāda noteiktus ilgtspējīgas attīstības tempus, kā arī norāda svarīgas tendences šo nosacījumu izpildīšanā.
Darba pirmajā nodaļā tiks aplūkoti TĀI jēdzieni, to iedalījumi un nianses, kā arī ilgtspējīgas attīstības definīcijas un to korelācija ar investīcijām.
Otrajā daļā tiks izvērtēta katra no trim Baltijas valstīm atsevišķi, vērtējot to ekonomiku un izaugsmi pēdējo gadu laikā.
Savukārt trešajā darba daļā tiks izvērtēta TĀI vide Baltijas valstīs, pa valstīm atsevišķi un kopumā. Tieši noslēdzošajā daļā tiks veikta datu analīze TĀI apguvi uz ilgtspējīgas attīstības pamata.

In the first chapter I will deal with foreign direct investment concepts, their divisions and details, as well as the definition of sustainable development and their correlation with investments.
The second part will be evaluated in each of the three countries separately in terms of their economy and the growth in recent years.
And the third part of the work, there will be evaluations on foreign direct investment environment in the Baltic States, we shall analysis the data from the Baltic foreign direct investments in acquiring a more sustainable way.
