| dc.description.abstract | Maģistra darba mērķis ir noteikt Rīgas pilsētas mazo upju ekoloģisko stāvokli pēc bioloģiskās un hidromorfoloģiskās kvalitātes kritērijiem. Mērķa sasniegšanai 2011. gada septembrī tika ievākti upju bentosa paraugi, veikta bentisko bezmugurkaulnieku cenožu izpēte, kā arī upju hidromorfoloģisko apstākļu novērtēšana pēc upju vides pārskata (River Habitat Survey, RHS) metodes. Pētījuma rezultātā iegūtie dati reprezentē Rīgas pilsētas mazo upju vides stāvokli, kas pēc izvirzītām degradācijas pazīmēm atbilst pilsētas upes sindromam un norāda uz Rīgas mazo upju kopējo degradāciju, par ko liecina visu pazīmju vērtības.

| dc.description.abstract | The aim of the Master’s thesis is to determine the ecological status of Riga`s small watercourses using biological and hydromorphological quality criteria. In order to achieve that the samples of benthos were collected during the 2011th September period, benthic macroinvertebrates were studied, as well as river hidromorphological conditions were assessed with River Habitat Survey (RHS) method. The data represent the ecological status of Riga`s small watercourses and point to the overall degradation, as confirmed by all the signs of values.
