Dižkoki Latvijā: ģeogrāfiskā izplatība un nozīmība sabiedrībā

Abstract

Maģistra darba mērķis bija izveidot vienotu datu bāzi par Latvijas dižkokiem, apzināt dižkoku nozīmi sabiedrībā un izpētīt to izplatību Latvijā saistībā ar dažādiem vides un antropogēnajiem faktoriem. Darba ietvaros ievākta un izanalizēta plaša informācija par dižkoku uzskaiti un aizsardzību Latvijā un citur pasaulē. Salīdzinātas mērījumu metodes, izstrādāts vienkāršots dižkoku apsekošanas protokols. Apkopojot informāciju no 11 datu avotiem, izveidota datu bāze, kas sniedz informāciju par 4895 Latvijas dižkokiem un 1951 potenciālajiem dižkokiem. Balstoties uz šiem datiem ir izveidotas 8 dažādas dižkoku izplatību raksturojošas kartes. Veikta 400 respondentu aptauja un noskaidrota dižkoku nozīmība sabiedrībā. Atslēgvārdi: dabas piemineklis, dabas aizsardzība, ĢIS, dižkoku apsekošana, fotomonitorings, bioloģiskā daudzveidība.

The aim of this Master’s Paper was to create united data base about secular trees in Latvia, to gather information about meaning of secular trees in society and explore secular trees prevalence in Latvia of various environmental and anthropogenic factors. Within written work wide range of information about registration and protection of secular trees in Latvia and elsewhere was collected and analyzed. Methods of measurements were compared, simplified inspection of secular trees was developed. Data base was made when information of 11 data sources was summarized, and now contains information about 4895 secular trees and 1951 potential secular trees in Latvia. Eight characterizing maps about prevalence of secular trees were made based on these data. 400 respondents carried out interrogatory and importance of secular trees in society was clarified.
