Sekšu, Venču un Sudrabezers ietilpst „Rīgas Ūdens” ūdensgūtņu aizsargājamajā teritorijā. Ezeri dabiskā veidā papildina gruntsūdens krājumus, ko pēc tam izmanto dzeramā ūdens iegūšanai. Atšķirībā no citiem Pierīgas ezeriem, tie netiek pakļauti tiešai antropogēnai iedarbībai.
Sekšu, Venču and Sudrabezers lakes are included in „Riga Water” source of water protected area. Lakes naturally enriches groundwater supplies, which are then used for drinking water extraction. Unlike other lakes near Riga, they are not subbject of antropogenic effects. Despite of lakes big role in water supply, they are not regulary monitored and there is no information about the current lake status.
Master thesis target is to determine Seksu lake, Vencu lake and Sudrabezers lake ecological status according to Cabinet of Ministers Regulation Nr. 858 and after the results of the macroinvertebrate. Lakes water ecological quality was determined by chemical, physical and biological parameters. In addition there was determined trophic status of lakes and dominant phytoplankton species.
Master thesis contains 73 pages.
Keywords: Lakes used for drinking water gain, hydro-chemical indicators, macroinvertebrates, phytoplankton, ecological quality.
