Reālā un pārdabiskā pretstatu pētījums latīņamerikāņu maģiskajā reālismā un franču fantastikas literatūrā

Abstract

Darbs ir salīdzinošs pētījums par fantastisko literatūru un maģisko reālismu, kura mērķis ir šo vēstījuma veidu diferencēšana. To galvenā kopīgā iezīme ir divu konfliktējošu kodu – reāla un pārdabiskā – klātbūtne vienā tekstuālajā vidē, taču šī pretruna katrā no vēstījuma tipiem tiek risināta atšķirīgā veidā. Fantastiskajā vēstījumā konflikts netiek atrisināts, tādēļ pārdabiskais ir nesavienojams ar reālo, taču maģiski reālistiskajā vēstījumā pretruna tiek pārvarēta, pārdabisko harmoniski ietverot reālajā. No šī konflikta risinājuma atkarīga pārdabiskā uztvere vēstījumā (t.i., tēlu un vēstītāja attieksme), kura tiek pētīta darba praktiskajā daļā, stilistiski analizējot fantastiskā un maģiski reālistiskā vēstījuma paraugus, lai raksturotu pārdabiskā fenomena izraisītās reakcijas. Analīzes pamatā ir trīsdaļīga shēma („izraisošais elements – pirmā reakcija – otrā reakcija”), kas ļauj strukturēt reakcijas attīstību līdz konflikta „reālais/pārdabiskais” galīgajam risinājumam; konflikta risinājums savukārt ļauj noteikt teksta piederību fantastiskajam vai maģiski reālistiskajam vēstījuma veidam.

This research is a comparative study of magical realism and the fantastic; its object is to differentiate between these narrative modes, whose main common trait is the coexistence of two conflicting codes – the real and the supernatural – within the same textual universe. The antinomy between the real and the supernatural is treated differently in each of these modes: in the fantastic the conflict is not resolved and the supernatural remains incompatible with the real, whereas in magical realism the antinomy is resolved and the supernatural is harmonised and integrated into the real. The resolution of the antinomy determines the perception of the supernatural on the narrative level (i.e. the attitude of the characters and the narrator), which is further studied in the second part of the research by means of a stylistic analysis of examples of fantastic and magical realist texts, focusing on the reactions prompted by supernatural phenomena. The analysis is organised in three parts (“trigger element – first reaction – second reaction”), which allows to segment the reactions leading to the resolution of the antinomy and the eventual distinction between the fantastic and magical realist modes.
