Apgaismības laikmeta un postmodernisma kultūras attēlojums M.Bredberija romānā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs „Apgaismības laikmeta un postmodernisma kultūras attēlojums M. Bredberija romānā “Uz Ermitāžu” ir fokusēts uz postmodernisma literatūras pamatprincipiem. Bakalaura darba uzdevums ir dotā romāna žanra formas izpēte, kā arī M. Bredberija attieksmes pret postmodernisma idejām izzināšana. Darba teorētiskajā daļā autors izskaidro postmodernisma literatūras tipiskus pamatprincipus, pamatojoties uz kritērijiem, kurus piedāvā Endrju Bennets un Nikolass Roils, Barrijs Ljuiss, Brajans Makheils. Polemika romānā tiek analizēta, izmantojot M.Bahtina literatūras diskursa teoriju. Īpaša uzmanība tiek veltīta vēsturiska tēlojuma jautājumam postmodernismā. Bakalaura darba praktiskajā daļā autors izpēta jautājumu par autora lomu un autortiesībām plašākajā nozīmē, kuru savulaik pacēla Mišels Fuko un Rolans Barts. Rezultāti apstiprina šī bakalaura darba hipotēzi un demonstrē, ka, neskatoties uz romāna postmodernisma formu, M. Bredberijs nepiekrīt postmodernisma idejām, kas aprakstītas šajā grāmatā.

The present term paper ‘The Representation of Enlightenment and Postmodern Culture in M. Bradbury’s Novel To the Hermitage’, focuses on the typical features of postmodernist fiction as well as polemic with some postmodernism ideas. Its purpose was to examine the form of the novel according to genre and find out Bradbury’s attitude towards the some postmodernism ideas. The theoretical part explains the main typical features of postmodern fiction according to Andrew Bennett and Nicholas Royle, Barry Lewis, and Brian McHale. The polemic in the novel is analysed through Bakhtin’s concept of novelistic discourse. The question of historical representation in Postmodern is given a special attention. The practical part also deals with the question of the role of the author and, broader, of authority raised by the French poststucturalists Roland Barthes and Michel Foucault. The results of the study confirm the hypothesis that despite the postmodernist form of the novel Bradbury disagrees with the postmodernism ideas expressed in the book.
